Mineral filter

A mineral filter comprises opaque microscopic powders (titanium dioxide, talc, mica, zinc oxide, iron oxide, kaolin, etc.) which reflect light like mirrors. It provides physical protection by reflecting UV rays. To obtain a quality sun cream (which protects against UVA's and UVB's and offers good cosmetic acceptance), it is essential to combine mineral and chemical filters.
