A better life for sensitive skin.

La Roche-Posay's commitment

With dermatologists
For over 30 years, La Roche-Posay has worked with dermatologists throughout the world to invent skincare and make-up products that meet their needs and requirements, supporting them in their training and their role of taking daily care of patients, through a number of actions including educational workshops for patients and skin cancer screening days.

La Roche-Posay. Recommended by over 25,000 dermatologists.

With families

  • By supporting educational structures, such as Atopy workshops or ointment schools, which are welcomed by adults and children, we hope to contribute to a better understanding of the disease and available treatments. There are now 80 schools across 23 countries. The principles of therapeutic education are developed based on discussions with other patients regarding their experience, knowledge and expertise, in order to cope better with the illness.
  • Over 415,000 patients have been treated at the La Roche-Posay Thermal Center since 1905 (8,000 patients a year).
  • In 2011, partnerships were established in several countries with associations of patients with skin diseases.

In Canada, for example, where over 25% of children suffer from eczema, the "100 families" provides a platform for sharing experiences on social networks. Parents have La Roche-Posay products adapted to their child's atopy for a year to assess the improvement of the little patient's quality of life.

For research

  • In late 2010, the brand accounted for over 600 epidemiological and observational clinical studies.
  • A team of doctors is dedicated to the live analysis of cable consumers in 26 countries.
  • La Roche-Posay Foundation has awarded 131 fellowships in dermatology - since its inception in 1995.

Atopy workshops

Atopy workshops to support families

Atopy workshops are held in hospitals for adults and children with atopic dermatitis as a form of therapeutic education. They are supervised by health professionals - nurses, pediatric nurses, doctors and psychologists - who help patients not to overreact, to better understand and to better manage the disease on a daily basis.

This makes patients aware of their own resources to improve their daily lives and boost their confidence in the treatment and care of their condition, which is not always treated properly. Patients are able to express their discomfort regarding the reaction of other people, learn the right reflexes to relieve pain and itching, and understand the disease and its treatment.
By taming the disease, the patient learns to live better with it.

Atopy workshops provide a meeting place where everyone can find patients like them. They can share their experiences and pain, benefit from support and talk with medical professionals. It is a place where people learn to break out of their isolation and overcome the feeling of exclusion.

Lipikar, a dedicated range

Choose the Lipikar texture for your atopic skin

Which skin care product and gentle lipikar product should you choose?

Focus on the Balm AP and the Syndet or Cleansing Oil: these high tolerance products have undergone special tests to ensure greater safety.

During itching and scratching phases, or in cases of extreme skin dryness, Baume AP helps repair the skin barrier and reduces itching and scratching.

During remission, people with dry skin can choose between the fresh and light texture of the Gel-fluid or the more rich and creamy Body Milk, allowing them to use these products alternately according to the needs of the day or year.

Light or creamy: the choice of cleansing product is a question of personal preference. Good to know: Syndet and the oil are best suited to intolerant skin (reduced risk of reaction).

The Surgras (ultra-moisturizing) product enriched with 10% concentrated lipid-replenishing components helps restore the skin barrier when still in the shower.
