Babies' skin: 3 habits to prevent irritation

As it is still at an immature stage, an infant's skin is particularly vulnerable.
Which techniques should be used in case of irritation?

1 – THERMAL SPRING WATER FOR EVERYDAY IRRITATIONS

Heat, friction of clothes against the skin, minor allergies… cutaneous irritation is common in young children. Although not serious, it can nevertheless cause uncomfortable itching or burning sensations.

Our recommendation:
Spray the irritated area with La Roche-Posay Thermal Spring Water. Leave for one minute before dabbing away any excess moisture. Thanks to its soothing agents, it immediately eases inflammation.

2 – CICAPLAST BAUME B5, BALM FOR DIAPER RASH

Is your baby's bottom red, dry and spotty? These symptoms are most likely to be those of diaper rash, due to maceration of the epidermis in diapers. If left untreated, it can develop into a fungal or bacterial infection.

Our recommendation:
Cleanse the skin and apply CICAPLAST BAUME B5 in the form of a thick layer or a poultice. Repeat twice a day.

4 tips to protect babies' bottoms

  • Change their diaper as soon as necessary, up to 8 times a day if required.
  • Leave their bottom to air dry before dressing them again.
  • Apply ointment to the skin on their bottom after each change.
  • Leave several days between the introduction of each new food into their diet.

3 – LIPIKAR BAUME AP+ FOR IRRITANT DERMATITIS

In the case of more serious irritations, such as a mild allergic reaction to a cleansing product or clothing fabric, it is important not only to calm the inflammation but also to prevent its recurrence by restoring the barrier function of the skin.

Our recommendation:
Start by cleansing and drying the irritated area. Next, apply LIPIKAR BAUME AP+. Formulated with a fast-absorbing texture, once-daily application will immediately soothe irritation and prevent its recurrence.
