Gently cleanse baby’s skin
Select skin cleansing products adapted to baby's fragile skin: hypoallergenic formulas, guaranteed tolerance on babies. Cleansing oils are a perfect option for the everyday routine and are gentle and comforting for babies’ baths. If extra efficacy is needed to treat a severe rash, speed up recovery with a purifying gentle cleanser.
Pat dry instead of rubbing
After delicately washing the skin, dry it with a soft towel. Dab the towel against the skin without rubbing to avoid irritation due to friction.
Beware of dirty diapers
Change diapers frequently to avoid maceration that can occur when in contact with stools and urine. In severe cases, also consider changing the diaper at night if the baby wakes up.
A dry bottom
Choose absorbent diapers that insulate the skin as much as possible against humidity.
Let skin breath
Avoid excessively tight diapers and synthetic pants that prevent moisture evaporating. Remember irritation is common in skin folds and areas in contact with sweat or dribble.
Spray to purify
You can use a purifying spray to soothe potential skin surface irritations on your baby’s bottom before applying the barrier cream.
After each diaper change, apply a barrier cream all over the bottom area.
Wash your hands
Wash hands thoroughly before and after each diaper change.
Beware of detergent
Use gentle hypoallergenic detergents with a low surfactant content to wash baby clothes and all textiles in contact with baby's skin.
Consult a pediatrician
Seek medical advice from your pediatrician if the diaper rash starts to ooze or breaks out in pimples.
